Psssstft!! Don't read this if you're drinking something...

The best time to do anything...go figure!

Best time to have surgery: Morning (4x less likely to have complications in the morning than between 3-4PM)

Best time to get a human being on the phone when calling a company's customer service line: As early as possible (lowest call volume)

Best day of the week to eat dinner out: Tuesday (freshest food, no crowds)

Best day to fly: Saturday (fewer flights means fewer delays, shorter lines, less stress)

Best time to fly: Noon (varies but pilots say airport rush hours coincide with workday rush hours)

Best time to exercise: 6-8PM (body temp highest, peak time for strength and flexibility)

Best time to have sex: 10PM-1AM (skin sensitivity is highest in late evening)

All are from Mark Di Vincenzo's Buy Ketchup in May and Fly at Noon: A Guide to the Best Time to Buy This, Do That and Go There."

On a related note,

Here is the answer to whether marriage kills sex drive.

Here's the answer to whether grandmom had premarital sex.

Here's why you don't need to worry about a terrorist incident next time you fly.

Yes, that IS a fluorescent rabbit. See my comment at the end of the article. Link below.

fur real...factoid

Here’s a little something you may not have known about federal labeling laws regarding furs: a loophole in these laws allows manufacturers to omit the fur labeling in certain garments. If the fur is valued at less $150, there doesn’t have to be any mention on the label that there is animal fur on the item. Another example of pointless legislation duping consumers and showing deference to manufacturing lobbyists for the sake of campaign dollars. (Oops, I said that out loud, didn’t I?).

To determine if the article you are purchasing is real or not, push the hairs apart and check the base of the fabric. If you see skin (ewww) then it’s real fur. Fake fur will have fabric at the base. Find out more about this at Your Daily Vegan.

House rabbits are 100% VEGAN & GREEN companions.

House rabbits eat 90% hay,
green veggies + little bit of rabbit pellets 2 x per day.

They're litterbox trained (if spayed/neutered)
and quiet.

They have no animal odor, they're 99% non-allergic, have no dander
and clean themselves scrupulously.

They poop and pee on hay that makes great organic garden fertilizer.

Our allergic reaction to easter is coming on...

RabbitMatch loves bunnies.  We love them s/neutered and adopted from a rescue...We cannot support, in good conscious, any individual (or company) who breeds, shows, leaves "intact", buys, sells, or otherwise contributes in Any Way to the problem rescues face with an unwanted overpopulation of rabbits (however gotten) who are left or discarded.  That may seem harsh to some, but rescues have a very different perspective in that it's as much as we can do to save the lives of *only some* bunnies.  And this becomes excrutiating this time of year. If any of the above pertains to you or your company, please 'unfriend' us.  Thanks for your understanding.

Denny’s advertises during many Television programs as a way to effectively communicate with our customers. “The Michael Vick Project” was not an authorized part of the BET advertising buy and was inadvertently put into the rotation. Because of concerned guests such as of yourself, this situation has been addressed and “The Michael Vick Project” will not be part of our future advertising schedule.

Thank you so much for providing your thoughts regarding the airing of a Denny's commercial during the BET program and "The Michael Vick Project".

Maria Lanzetti
Denny’s Customer Service

Hello.

Please reconsider airing this Michael Vick show.  Animal brutality would then be tacitly condoned by the BET Channel.

I hope that does not happen.

the regular route of the throwaway pet shop bunny... meet Marson!

?ui=2&ik=d6ca10954e&view=att&th=126f8bf80024e00c&attid=0.3&disp=thd&zw

Yoo-hoo!!!!  It's me, Marson!!  I'm the new bun at RabbitMatch on Feb 20,'10.  Let me tell you my story.  I went the regular route of the throwaway pet shop bunny.  However, I was found by a wonderful human who scooped me up and took me to her home.  She knew all about bunnies AND she already had a rabbit companion.  Unfortunately the original dude and I were just that, rowdy boys.  Even though the human had me snipped right away and worked and worked with us, original bunnydude and I just couldn't find common ground to sign a truce so a decision was made and I had to go. My human cried when she gve me to the RabbitMatch volunteers but it's OK, really it is.  This is a neat place.  I'm next door to Mouffetard.  Love the mountain of hay the moms give me every morning.   Organic greens too!!!   Soon I'll have a furever home, maybe with a bunnygirl.

I'm a handsome lad, coat is a gorgeous smooth blue grey color.  I do have an errant ancestor somewhere because I'm supposed to have blue eyes but they're a carmel color instead!!!  I weigh 4.5 lbs.  I was born 9/1/09 so I'll grow a teeny bit more.  Do make my furever home dream come true soon, OK??  I'm a really great rabbit!!!!   Bunnywhiskertickle to you, lovingly, Marson.

Advice on how to best use caffeine -- from a neuroscientist:...who'da thunk?

    1) Consume in small, frequent amounts.

Between 20-200mg per hour may be an optimal dose for cognitive function.

    2) Play to your cognitive strengths while wired.

Caffeine may increase the speed with which you work, may decrease attentional lapses, and may even benefit recall - but is less likely to benefit more complex cognitive functions, and may even hurt others. Plan accordingly (and preferably prior to consuming caffeine!)

Hello, hello!!!  Name's Mouffetard but my friends call me Mouffie!!!!  Standard operating procedure is to tell my story???  Well it was Valentine's Day a few days ago, you know???  I was delivered to the house along with about 100 roses.  Don't know the whereabouts of those roses but I'm warming a denbox in a condo at RabbitMatch four days later!!   I'm a chinchilla-x boy and no, that does not mean that I'm hybridized with a rodent!!!!!  Heavens to snowshoes!!!!   Don't you know there are cinnamon rabbits, sable rabbits and palomino rabbits.  Name just refers to the coat color texture and pattern!!!  So anyway, I'm not pleased with my photo session.  Where did the mom get that ghastly red throw???  I'm not showing off my black/gray/silver colors!!!  We'll need a re-do.  If I had an agent, I'd fire her on the spot!!!!

Sooooo, you'll just have to accept the likeness and you must admit, I'm one handsome bun.  I weigh 4.25 lbs and was born Sept. 1, 2009.  I have a bit more growing to do.  My coat is the typical chinchilla color and texture.  I'm having fun eyeballing the other rabbits here.  I'm enjoying all the smells and wow!!  the mountains of hay and greens!!!  I never imagined I'd have a 35 ft run all to myself and all those cute cardboard houses to visit and shred!!!  However, I know all this pales by comparison to living with you!!!   I'd love full time human companionship........Wistfully yours, Mouffetard.

A sunny Italian greeting to you!!!  It's me, Bellini, checking in to RabbitMatch.  I was found dazed and confused on a city sidewalk.  My rescuers instantly fell in love with me but the doggie of the house had other ideas (sigh) so I had to move in with the RabbitMatch buns.   I'm a true dwarf!!!!  I weigh 2lbs 3 oz.  I'm going to grow a bit more  though.  My birthdate is 9/1/09.  I'm a riot of cinnamonbun colors and am longing for human company.  I'd love to be your cuddlefriend.  With me around, you'll be amazed to find yourself spending more time at home !!!!  Bunnybutterflykisses, Bellini.

    Bunny advice needed!

Rrrrrrrhonda R. Rhododendron is a precious bunny who once upon a time, before she found her forever home, literally chased me out of her cage at the shelter where she had been brought.  She is one of a kind.  ; )

Now Rhonda has a bladder sludge problem...here's the scoop.

Two serious bouts of bladder sludge 1 year apart in a 5 y.o.SF   NZW-X rabbit , Rhonda Rabbit, who shuns her water crock..   Has never been observed drinking.  Sipper bottle has been tried, also diluted fruit juices.  No luck.

Victor at OVH said that she had no sludge in her bladder today.  Now the trick is to keep it that way with a rabbit who has never been observed drinking.  Can you post her story on the internets pls????

Wetting forehead and paws doesn't bring in sufficient water.  Anyone had a similar experience???  Hate to think of doing fluids w her daily 'til the end of our days!!!   Thanks!!  Lisa E.

Any 'think outside the box' ideas out there?  Any info site Lisa can read?
