Another hoppy human (and bunny)!!

From Pye who adopted Snowden a year ago...

It's been a year since you helped me adopt Snowden aka Totoro!  My entire family adores him though at first they were really surprised I brought a rabbit home.  He roams around the house all day when we're home and loves to bink at night.  My mom loves it when he sticks his nose up to tell you where to scratch.  =D  He also loves to run around our back yard and eat all the weeds.  I'm very vigilant about what he eats and if there are hawks flying around so don't worry.   I've included some photos too!  He was in a big cage when I was at school, but now he has his own little closet with a nice big window.  Just wanted to say you thank you again for helping me meet Totoro.

Hope everybun is doing great at RabbitMatch!

golly. gulp. this kinda stuff makes it all worthwhile. : )

From Katherine and Nick, Roslind's new humans.  : )

Little Roz is settling in very well in her new home.  She makes us laugh when she gets quite energetic and playful. She races from the hallway through the living room to the kitchen, turns around and charges back, and then once again back to the kitchen with a leap in the air, that I hope is a leap of joy.  She is never in a cage.  She has the kitchen all to herself with her blanket, litterbox, food, etc during the day while we are at work, and in the evening she explores the house, spends time under the bed (one of her favorite places), and also at the bay window, which is reserved just for her.  We love her and she seems to be quite fond of us too.

Thank you for having rescued her and taken such good care of her and for having laid the path to us.

: )  We love this stuff.

Bronwen's bone pic and surgery update!!

Update:  Bronwen made it through her surgery yesterday thanks to the skill of her bunderful surgeon, Dr. Schwartz.  : )

Here's a pic of her leg before surgery.  An arrow points to the exposed bone tip.  : P

She is really a little wonderbun.

Any loving bun home out there who will our little girl once she's binkying again????
_________

The surgery cost $371.  Then, there will be follow ups, pain meds, penicillin, etc.

If you'd like to help Bronwen, you can contribute to her fund here.

When you give a gift to a bunny, this is what can happen... : )

We rescued a stray bun today with a (badly) healed broken leg.  Inge took her to Dr S.  Although the injury is old, the bone is sticking out of the skin.  : (   She's only about 6 mos old and even with a back leg that doesn't move and is curled up under her and has a bone sticking out of it, she can RUN!  I heard that Stacey said she even has her own version of a binkie!

Bronwen 2.JPG   Bronwen 3.JPG

She's now staying at the wildlife bunny way station (my bathroom) overnight.  she's on buster's blankey behind the toilet...not a great neighborhood.  : P

So.  Tomorrow our little girl, now named Bronwen, is going into surgery.  The leg is badly enough damaged to require amputation.  BUT, we've seen LOTS of 3-legged buns who don't know it's missing. : )

Please keep her in your thoughts and send good intentions to her and Dr. Schwartz.  She'll probably be recuperating with Inge for awhile. She'll keep us posted.

The surgery will cost about $371.  Then, there will be follow ups, pain meds, penicillin, etc.

You really make the difference to the buns we serve.  Thank you.

Funny new christmas song!!!!

all this little girl wants for Christmas, is her bunny to get better...

When asked, Catherine said
"All I want for Christmas is for my bunny to be well."

You can't tell on pic but in real life her left cheek is swollen and her left eye is "popping out". if you look up retrobular abscess in bunnies you can see pics of what it looks like if it goes untreated, it may evently pop out!

This is from Liza's mom's boss...
I have known this family for many years.  It's legitimate.  Their current situation is very tough, Dad hasn't found work since he finished his Army assignment, Mom works commission and as you know things are tough!!!!  We've been helping with groceries and gas.  Rabbit Match paid for the Vet visit but doesn't have the funds for the surgery. If you can make a small donation, please call OverlandVet Clinic. ASK FOR MAGGIE and tell them your donation is for LIZA Bunny (if it's not earmarked they won't get it)

Thank you for sharing this with friends who might be interested in helping.

Need a foster asap for mom and 5 newborns...

Hello everybun.

We had a stunning bun mom, Euphrates, give birth overnight to 5 kits in a place no bun should have them.   She needs protection for her and her babes.

She is looking for a trusted rabbit person (i.e., RM adopter, volunteer, partner rescue person, rabbit-savvy supporter) to let these kids grow up with her until they're weaned (8 weeks).  We have about 48 hours to find them a place otw, we may 'lose' them.   (I throw up right here.)

After that, we will take them slowly back into our system.  So dear friends, anyone in the LA area available for angel duty?

Thanks.

Your Gift to Jean-Luc Worked! Hoppy Holidays!

Our foster rabbit Jean-Luc has LOTS to be thankful for this holiday season. Just look at how your donations have helped him!

When Jean-Luc got head tilt, he couldn't keep his Santa hat on!

But now he's ready for the hoppidays!

Jean-Luc was suffering from a debilitating condition which caused his head to tilt at a 90% angle.

Thanks to your support, we could pay for Jean-Luc's doctor visits and medications -- and he's never looked better!

You can donate to Rabbit Match today to help more rabbits like Jean-Luc!

He recovered because you cared.

Please donate to the rabbits' medical fund.

Bunny Heaven = Michelle's House!

hi there,

Summer and Blaze [Pandolfini] are doing great...we built them a bunny tunnel out of boxes and they zip through there all the time :0)  They get lots of loving from the entire family.  Emily and Hannah love them and help me feed and change their litter box.  My husband even spends time playing/cuddling with them every night :0)  He never owned bunnies before S & B but is a cat lover...he says bunnies are great because they are like cats but don't run away when he wants to pet them haha.  I frequently find him laying in their pen with a bunny at each hand getting some lovin'!

Oh, also, we grow our own mustard greens, parsley, celery and strawberries so the bunnies have lots of fresh veggies/greens (no strawberries, just the leaves) to eat, which is fun.  Our lives have become pretty rabbit-centered lately haha. They get A LOT of attention but also have little bunny hiding places as well.
