Victory! Canadian School Board Approves Student Choice Policy Animalearn thanks its Canadian supporters who recently contacted the Burnaby, British Columbia school board. In a 3-2 vote on February 23, 2010, the board agreed to create a formal policy giving students the right to say "no" to dissection. Russian University Ends Animal Labs This month, Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy in Russia declared an end to all animal laboratories at the school. The institution signed a formal agreement with the International Network for Humane Education (InterNICHE) to implement alternatives to animal labs. InterNICHE will be providing the school with humane alternatives. It is the tenth such contract the group has made with an institute of higher education in Russia.
